Q: My brother has a 32gb video iPod and i have 8gb video nano and i had a laptop but the charger broke and we only have 1 computer. I was just wondering is there a way that my brother and i can share iTunes but not have to have each others songs on our iPods. I heard something about creating separate libraries or something like that?
A: Well this is what my sister and I did: We ended up with both sets of songs in the library but all is well there is a way. Create a playlist full of only music you will listen to and name it. Then your brother should do the same. Then plug in your iPod and when it comes up in iTunes that it is plugged in, click on the 'Music' option across the top. Change 'All songs and playlists' to 'Selected Playlists' and choose the playlist you created with your music in it. However to do this you MAY (only may) need to have to delete the other playlists (i.e Top 25 most played, recently added, recently played) but if that is not a problem then this is a very successful method.
