Q: i have a heavy bill this quater, which i was paying by direct debit. however i arranged with BT TO USE A PHONE CARD TO PAY WEEKLY INSTEAD OF A BIG LUMP SUM EVERY MONTH. DESPITE THIS, THEY HAVE CANCELLED MY SERVICE and are insisting i pay direct debit or the full sum of 450 quid before they restore my phone. i can recieve calls but not send them. my internet seems ok, but im finding bt totally expensive and disorganised. which company provides the best customer service, and doesnt disconnect the phone when u make different arrangements to pay ?
A: If you are in a cable area, have a word with Virgin Media, they have fiber-optic cable, you can have phone, TV ( no dish) broadband usually 100 mbs ( BT 7 mbs if you are distant from the exchange ) and can offer virgin mobile as a total package as well. You can generally keep your old BT number
